Let the buyers battle
Every offer comes with a price and a pickup time. Your page puts the top offer and the fastest pickup up front, then lists every offer. Sort them by most cash or by soonest.
An offer near the top for both is marked Best of both.

Sell your car, not your phone number
Buyers see your car, your first name and your area. You message them from your page, calls go through our line, and only the driver gets your address, on pickup day.

Pick your pickup time
Every offer says when that buyer can come, so you know before you choose. Book the window that suits you, and we remind you the evening before.
Some buyers quote high on the phone, then knock it down in your driveway. Here, an offer can only go up and you see every offer side by side. If a buyer tries to pay less at pickup, you can say no and tell us on your offers page, and after the pickup we ask whether you got the full amount.

We checked 18,144 listings and kept 1,616
Search for junk car buyers and most of what comes up is not a local buyer: call centers that sell your details, listings named after search words, and businesses that don't buy cars at all. We went through every listing we could find tied to junk cars, towing or salvage, and kept about 9 in 100.
Every buyer we kept has a Google rating of 4.0 or better and shows signs that it actually buys vehicles. How we choose and rank buyers.

Common questions about selling a junk car with BeaterBoss.
How does BeaterBoss work?
Tell us about your car, your ZIP code and when you need it gone. Screened local junk car buyers send cash offers, and each one says the earliest time that buyer can pick up. Your offers page shows the top offer and the fastest pickup up front, and you pick the buyer you want.
What do Top, Fastest and Best of both mean?
Top is the biggest offer on your car. Fastest is the buyer who can pick it up soonest. Best of both marks an offer that is among the three biggest and the three soonest at once. They only point things out, so you can still choose any offer you like.
Can a buyer pick up my car today?
Sometimes. Every offer says the earliest time that buyer can come, and some buyers can come the same day. If you tell us you need it gone today, your offers page opens on the soonest pickups. You can book the time a buyer offers or any later one.
Do I need photos, the mileage or the VIN?
No, but the more you add, the more accurate your offers. Buyers price a car from what they can see, so photos of the front, the back, the dashboard showing the mileage (with the engine running, if it runs), the inside, any damage and the VIN plate let them offer a price they can stand by when they arrive. The VIN is on the dashboard by the windshield, or on the driver's door frame. Please don't add a photo of the title: it shows your address.
Is it free for sellers?
Yes. It costs you nothing to get offers or sell. Buyers pay us a fee only when they win your car, and it is on top of their offer, never taken out of it.
Will I get a lot of phone calls?
No. Offers arrive on your own offers page and we text you when they do. Buyers never get your phone number, not even the one you choose: calls go through our number.
Can I sell my car without a title?
Often, yes. Many buyers accept cars without a title if you can show ID and proof of ownership. Rules vary by state, and the offer may be lower.
Do I have to pay for towing?
No. Pickup is part of the offer. Turn down any buyer who adds a towing fee at pickup.
What if the buyer lowers the price at pickup?
You can say no. The offer you accepted is the price. Tell us on your offers page and we will step in.
How do you choose which buyers to list?
We checked 18,144 junk car listings and kept 1,616. Every buyer we list has a Google rating of 4.0 or better and shows signs that it actually buys vehicles. Most have at least 10 reviews, and the few with fewer are listed because the reviews they do have show them buying cars. Call centers and listings built around search keywords are removed.
